Working with thousands of students and clients, I came to see that dis ease...primarily starts in the mind. Most indigenous methods agree that the spirit/ soul is directly tied to the physical and that it is what determines what will manifest physically. So if there is a physical condition or issue.. there is also a mental/ spiritual condition that laid the foundation for it.
Training in hypnotherapy gave further insights into the mind process and how we program ourselves with unconscious beliefs and thoughts that directly impact our physical well being. This blended well with homeopathy because homeopathy has always taking the mental state into account when determining the proper remedy.
Western science and Western herbalism has a type of one remedy fits all approach to addressing things. It is a kind of hit or miss approach because they are not really taking the person's physical and emotional constitution into consideration in relation to the effects of the remedy. You can address the heart physically, but you can't address the capacity for love which is often related to heart issues with the same approach.
Traditional healing suits me for these reasons. Traditional Healing incorporates the entire person into the healing treatment. Rather than using one size fit all standards for health and methods, traditional healing is more interested in the person and their unique constitution. Determining the approach to healing this way may involve herbs, homeopathy, meditations, therapeutic ritual, counseling, life coaching, or other therapy. Not to replace conventional care, traditional healing compliments the whole person, but starts with the spiritual as the root and extends to the physical rather than the other way around.
